33 weeks down. 7 more to go!

The little man is growing and growing in there. He is kicking me like crazy and even gets hiccups every so often. We have decided to name him Lincoln Dean LeMmon. We are coming down to the final days of my pregnancy and I am really nervous and really excited. It's getting more difficult for me to work up the motivation to go to work every day and by the time I get there I'm already tired again, but the time is going by quickly. Nate is going to Disneyland the last week of April so we are really hoping the baby hangs out in there til the due date or after. We don't want daddy to miss the big day. We also don't want the big day to come during daddy's finals week, that might be bad. Here's some pictures of my big bump!

Getting Back to It

Now that life has seemed to slow down a bit, for now, I thought I'd get back into the habit of blogging (since my journaling has taken a drastic down fall). It's been almost a year since I've done any kind of update. So here's a brief overview of our life the last year:

I graduated! I finished out my time at Utah State and my internship with the Division of Child and Family Services and graduated with my Bachelor's in Social Work in May of 2015. It seems so long ago now but it was hard work worth doing and I am sooo glad to be done! Nate is still in school at SLCC and still studying computer engineering. He'll graduate someday :).

After graduation we moved back to Bountiful and are so happy we did. We are closer to family and friends now and feel much more connected to the people we love. Not to mention our apartment is amazing, I love it. We got new couches which made me super happy because I hated the old ones. Nate is serving in the young men's with the teachers quorum and I am serving in the primary with the 11 year old's. It's been an adventure.

I accepted a job with DCFS in July 2015 and have been there since. I love it. It's definitely a challenge but it's fantastic. I work with foster care and ongoing cases on the same team I did my internship with.

Nate had surgery in August 2015 on his shoulder and had to quit his job at FedEx. It was a few months before he was recovered enough to do much, and has just gotten to the point where he is considered "fully recovered". He is working at Western Governor's doing my old job and actually likes it quite a lot (mostly because he gets to spend an exorbitant amount of time watching YouTube videos).

We are pregnant! We are welcoming a little unnamed boy to the world in May and are so very very excited to be his parents. Though we can't decide on a name for the little monster we already love him more than anything. Nate's going to be a stay at home daddy while I go back to work after the baby gets here.

That's our life in a nutshell right now. I'm sure things will get much crazier when the baby gets here but it's been a nice break not having to do work and school. And it's great having a job that I love. I will try to keep up a little better with the blog but I make no promises.

February: The Shortest of the Months

I hadn't written in a while and just wanted to give a bit of an update. There isn't much new going on in the LeMmon house (or really small apartment that is). We are busy with school and work and never seeing each other, which isn't all that fun. Luckily I am getting ready to graduate which is very exciting for both of us. And Nate, well he isn't graduating, but he is doing well in school. My internship is going well, I have my own case now which has been quite exciting. I really am looking forward to having a steady job though, and one where I get paid to have a case. We've done a couple of fun things this month; we went to the museum of natural curiosity, we spent all day last Saturday out in Lehi window shopping, Nate took me out for Valentine's day which was sweet, and I've been experimenting with recipes off Pinterest. I'm a pretty awesome cook in case you were wondering. Nate and I were called to nursery, back in December actually, but we love being in there. We have some awesome kiddos. Most of them are on the younger side as all our older kids left in January to go to primary. Nate especially loves nursery, probably because he's around people who understand him. :) It really is a fun calling though. Anywho, that's kind of all we've had going on this month, it's been slow and normal, but I guess that's good.

Christmas and Injury: They Go Hand in Hand

For Christmas we took a trip up to Eden to spend the holiday with my family. It's pretty traditional that we go up close to or right after Christmas every year to do some skiing and just hang out. It's a nice vacation and is always super fun. Nate was there last year as my fiance, and this year as my husband (which is way more fun). This holiday was pretty painful for the both of us though. Nate and I both had the flu the month of December, which was awful. And then on vacation Nate hurt his knee skiing and then dislocated his shoulder tubing. Marriage to that man means injury. Last year around December he dislocated his shoulder as well. Winter sports are bad for his health. Then just when we thought all was well I got tonsillitis. Which was spectacular let me tell you. Just as I was on the mend I had to go in and get my wisdom teeth removed and recovery for that has been a nightmare. I'm still in pain, and still unable to eat anything that isn't so soft you'd feed it to a baby. Despite all of our hardships during the month we still had a wonderful holiday with friends and family. And I for one am grateful for the reason we celebrate, which is not presents (though sometimes I think it is). Without the Savior and the gospel we have because of him I would be in a very different place. And I definitely wouldn't be able to roll over in pain and beg my husband for a blessing. I truly am blessed. And so are all of you!

Black Friday Shopping is Awesome!

So, I now I'm like the least aggressive person ever and that when I go black friday shopping it's usually to make fun of all the other people who are there because really they are crazy but this year I actually went to buy stuff. And we made out like robbers! And Nate had a blast bathing in our splendors.

Of course the Christmas Season in Utah is never complete without a trip to temple square. We went with some friends Nate has from work and we had a blast. Awesomely enough this winter hasn't been too cold so it was actually a really nice night, which I was grateful for.

Pumpkin Goop is the BEST Part!

October was a great month, and it went by so fast! I can't believe Nate and I have been married now for almost five months it still seems like yesterday or even that we are still waiting. But it's been a wonderful five months.
We did carve pumpkins for Halloween, turns out pumpkin goop makes Nate squeamish, which is hilarious. Pumpkin goop is my favorite part of pumpkin carving! It's so fun to play with, I found a new favorite reason for it this year though-chasing Nate around and getting the goop on him. He really doesn't like it and it really is as funny as it sounds. Halloween we both had to work so that was essentially our holiday but it was good.
Life is good, normal. Nothing to exciting has happened in the past few weeks.
I am looking forward to the Holidays as usual, but as is normal I the holidays are also a hard time for me. Due to choices my family has made not agreeing with the way I live, and the way I live making things hard for my family we don't talk a lot or see each other. Which is usually okay, but it does tend to affect me a little more near the holidays and always end up crying a little. That's okay we can't all be happy all the time. But I do love Christmas and I am excited.
Anywho, life is the same as it has been, other than Nate did lock himself out of the house again that was funny. If anything exciting happens I will let you know. Peace, Love and Ice-Cream!!
